Gentle Vein Care Center

About Gentle Vein Care Center

Physician-led vein care, starting with online consultations for Florida patients

Gentle Vein Care Center was created to help patients get clear, practical guidance about leg symptoms, visible veins, swelling, heaviness, and vein disease without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

We are starting with online vein consultations for patients located in Florida while preparing to open an in-person vein clinic in Central Florida.

Our goal is simple: help you understand what may be causing your symptoms, what your next step should be, and whether you may need in-person vein evaluation, ultrasound, conservative care, or future treatment.

Our Story

A more thoughtful way to start vein care

Many patients wait months or years before asking about their leg symptoms. Some are embarrassed by visible veins. Some assume aching, swelling, heaviness, or skin discoloration is just part of aging. Others are not sure whether they need a vein doctor, a primary care doctor, urgent care, compression stockings, or something else.

Gentle Vein Care Center was built to make that first step easier.

Instead of asking patients to guess whether their symptoms are serious enough for a vein clinic, we offer a physician-led online consultation where eligible Florida patients can discuss their concerns from home.

This telehealth-first approach allows patients to start with guidance, education, and a next-step plan before moving into in-person care when appropriate.

Why We Started With Telehealth

You should not have to wait for a clinic location to get guidance

Gentle Vein Care Center is preparing for an in-person Central Florida clinic, but patients already have questions now. Starting with online consultations allows us to help eligible Florida patients understand symptoms such as:

Varicose veins
Spider veins
Leg swelling
Heavy or tired legs
Aching, throbbing, or cramping
Restless legs
Skin discoloration near the ankles
Leg wounds or slow-healing areas
Questions about compression stockings
Questions about whether vein ultrasound may be needed

Telehealth cannot replace every part of vein care. It cannot perform an ultrasound, confirm venous reflux by video alone, or provide emergency care. But it can be a useful first step for patients who want physician-led guidance before deciding what to do next.

Meet the Physician

Dr. Jessica Tunis, General Surgeon and Vein Specialist

Medical Director, Gentle Vein Care Center

Dr. Jessica is a Florida-licensed physician with a background in General Surgery, board-certified, and specializing in non-invasive and minimally invasive vein treatments. She created Gentle Vein Care Center to provide careful, patient-centered vein care for people with leg symptoms, visible veins, and concerns about circulation.

Her approach is grounded in clear communication, practical education, and thoughtful evaluation. She believes patients should understand their symptoms and options before moving forward with testing or treatment.

At Gentle Vein Care Center, patients are not treated like a number or pushed into a procedure before their concerns are understood. The first step is listening, reviewing the full picture, and helping each patient understand what makes sense next.

Our Approach

Clear answers before procedures

Vein care can be confusing. Patients often hear about compression stockings, ultrasound, ablation, sclerotherapy, spider vein treatment, venous reflux, and chronic venous insufficiency without knowing what applies to them. Our approach is to slow that process down and make it understandable.

1

We start with your symptoms

We want to know what you are feeling, how long it has been happening, what makes it worse, what improves it, and how it affects your daily life.

2

We explain what may be vein-related

Some symptoms are commonly associated with vein disease, including swelling, heaviness, aching, visible veins, itching, burning, and skin changes. Other symptoms may point to something else.

3

We are honest about telehealth limits

An online consultation can provide guidance, but some patients need an in-person exam, duplex ultrasound, urgent care, emergency evaluation, or care from another specialist.

4

We focus on the right next step

Not every patient needs a procedure. Some patients may need conservative care, compression guidance, ultrasound, further medical workup, or simply a better understanding of what to watch for.

5

We prepare patients for future in-person care

When our Central Florida location opens, appropriate patients may continue with in-person evaluation, ultrasound, and treatment options.

What We Help Patients Understand

Common vein-related concerns

Gentle Vein Care Center helps patients better understand symptoms and conditions such as:

Varicose veins

Bulging or twisted veins that may cause aching, heaviness, swelling, itching, or discomfort.

Spider veins

Small visible veins that may be cosmetic, symptomatic, or sometimes associated with other vein concerns.

Leg swelling

Swelling around the ankles or lower legs that may be related to veins, but can also have other causes.

Heavy or tired legs

Legs that feel weighed down, tired, or uncomfortable after standing or sitting for long periods.

Chronic venous insufficiency

A condition where leg veins have trouble moving blood back toward the heart efficiently.

Venous reflux

A vein valve problem that can allow blood to flow backward and pool in the legs.

Skin changes

Discoloration, itching, dryness, thickening, or irritation around the lower legs or ankles.

Compression therapy

Guidance on how compression stockings may fit into conservative care or symptom management.

Who We Serve

Built for Florida patients who want clarity about leg symptoms

Gentle Vein Care Center is currently serving patients located in Florida through online consultations. This may be a good fit for patients who:

  • Are concerned about varicose veins or spider veins
  • Have leg swelling, aching, heaviness, or restlessness
  • Are wondering whether symptoms could be vein-related
  • Want to understand whether ultrasound may be needed
  • Have questions about compression stockings
  • Want physician guidance before deciding on in-person care
  • Prefer starting with a convenient online visit

Strict Urgent Care Warning

This is not the right fit for emergency symptoms such as sudden one-sided leg swelling, chest pain, shortness of breath, sudden severe calf pain, active heavy bleeding, or rapidly worsening infection.

If your symptoms are sudden, severe, or concerning, seek urgent or emergency care.

Our Values

The kind of care we are building

Clarity

Patients deserve explanations they can understand. We avoid unnecessary jargon and explain what symptoms may mean in plain language.

Honesty

Telehealth is helpful, but it has limits. If you need in-person care, ultrasound, urgent evaluation, or another specialist, we will tell you.

Practicality

Good vein care is not only about procedures. Conservative care, compression, walking, leg elevation, skin care, and the right timing for ultrasound all matter.

Respect

Many patients feel embarrassed or frustrated by leg symptoms. We treat those concerns seriously and respectfully.

Thoughtful growth

We are starting lean with telehealth and growing into in-person care carefully. The goal is not to look big overnight. The goal is to build a reliable, patient-centered vein clinic.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Gentle Vein Care Center open in person?
Gentle Vein Care Center is currently starting with online vein consultations for eligible Florida patients. An in-person Central Florida location is coming soon.
Why start with telehealth?
Telehealth allows patients to get physician-led guidance before an in-person clinic visit is available. It is a practical first step for reviewing symptoms, discussing concerns, and identifying possible next steps.
Can telehealth diagnose vein disease?
Telehealth can help review symptoms and guide next steps, but many vein conditions require an in-person exam and duplex ultrasound before diagnosis or treatment planning can be confirmed.
Do you treat patients outside Florida?
During the telehealth launch phase, consultations are for patients located in Florida.
Do you accept insurance?
During the telehealth-only launch phase, consultations are self-pay unless otherwise stated. Insurance participation is planned for a future in-person phase.
Will you offer vein procedures?
In-person ultrasound and minimally invasive vein treatments are planned for the future clinic phase. The current phase is focused on online consultations and guidance.
What if my symptoms are urgent?
Do not book a routine online consultation for emergency symptoms. Sudden one-sided leg swelling, chest pain, shortness of breath, severe calf pain, active heavy bleeding, or signs of serious infection require urgent medical care.

Start with clarity

If you have leg swelling, visible veins, aching, heaviness, restlessness, or skin changes, you do not have to guess what to do next. Start with an online consultation and get physician-led guidance from home.
