Physician on video consultation

Online Vein Consultations for Florida Patients

Get a physician-led review of your leg symptoms, visible veins, swelling, heaviness, or skin changes from home. Gentle Vein Care Center is starting with telehealth consultations while preparing to open an in-person vein clinic in Central Florida.

  • Florida patients only during telehealth launch
  • Physician-led vein care
  • Designed for varicose veins, spider veins, leg swelling, heaviness, aching, and related symptoms
  • In-person ultrasound and procedures coming in a future clinic phase

Telehealth can help determine likely next steps, but some vein problems require in-person exam, duplex ultrasound, urgent care, or emergency evaluation.

Your leg symptoms may be more than "just aging"

Many people assume that aching, swelling, or visible veins are just a part of getting older. But these can be signs of vein disease, which is often manageable and treatable. Learn more about vein symptoms →

Aching, painful, or cramping legs

Pain that worsens after standing or improves with leg elevation may deserve a vein-focused evaluation.

Leg or ankle swelling

Swelling can have many causes. A vein consultation can help determine whether venous disease should be considered.

Heavy or tired legs

Legs that feel heavy, tired, or restless by the end of the day may be a sign of circulation problems.

Visible varicose veins

Bulging or rope-like veins can be cosmetic, medical, or both.

Spider veins

Smaller visible veins may be cosmetic, but they can sometimes appear alongside deeper vein issues.

Skin changes near the ankle

Darkening, itching, dryness, thickened skin, or wounds should not be ignored.

What an online vein consultation can help with

A telehealth visit is not a replacement for an ultrasound or procedure. It is a focused first step to review your symptoms, health history, photos if appropriate, risk factors, and goals. You leave with a clearer understanding of what may be going on and what should happen next.

1 Understand your symptoms

We review what you are feeling, when it happens, what makes it better or worse, and whether your symptoms fit common vein disease patterns.

2 Know your next step

You may be advised to try conservative care, use compression properly, schedule an ultrasound when available, see another specialist, or seek urgent evaluation if red flags are present.

3 Prepare for in-person care

If you are likely to need duplex ultrasound or treatment, we help you understand what to expect before the in-office phase begins.

Vein conditions we help patients understand

Explore Vein Conditions

Varicose veins

Bulging or twisted veins that may be associated with aching, heaviness, swelling, itching, or skin changes.

Spider veins

Small visible veins that may be cosmetic but can sometimes occur with other vein symptoms.

Chronic venous insufficiency

A condition where leg veins have trouble moving blood back toward the heart, often due to valve problems.

Leg swelling

Swelling can come from several causes. Vein disease is one possibility, but it should be evaluated carefully.

Venous reflux

A common vein problem where blood flows backward in the leg veins instead of efficiently returning upward.

Start with practical steps before procedures

Not every patient needs a procedure right away. During your consultation, we may discuss conservative measures such as compression stockings, walking, leg elevation, weight management, avoiding long periods of standing or sitting, and when to consider ultrasound evaluation.

  • Compression stockings
  • Leg elevation
  • Walking and calf-muscle movement
  • Skin care
  • When to seek ultrasound
  • When symptoms may be urgent

Duplex ultrasound

Used to evaluate blood flow and identify reflux or other vein problems.

Sclerotherapy

Commonly used for spider veins and selected smaller varicose veins.

Ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy

Used for certain veins that require ultrasound guidance.

Endovenous laser ablation

A minimally invasive treatment used to close selected diseased veins.

Radiofrequency ablation

A minimally invasive heat-based option for selected refluxing veins.

Important note:

Treatment recommendations require appropriate evaluation and may require in-person examination and ultrasound.
